The cylindrical body divided into 6 lobes and supported on a stepped plinth. Moulded on the exterior with 3 dragons amongst bloomy leafy lotus. The top pierced with 6 circular apertures . Covered all around in a sea-green craqueled glaze.

Capital and impressif figure in " GLAZED BISCUIT FAMILLE VERTE " .
Very elaborate and extremely well detailed representation of the legendary : "
" GOD OF WAR : GUANDI " . Seated on a rockwork throne ; one hand resting on the left knee, the other raised to hold his long beard between his fingers . He is dressed in official military armor, his upper-dress very well detailed with a dragon ,clouds etc... the face is extremely-well modelled with all possible details ( as in real ) .
Period: mid QING dynasty .
Provenance: from the collection of the late mrs. L.Michiels ( important dealer and expert in Belgium in the '60 -'80 ), who bought the figure in 1968 by Sidney L. Moss ( label n° 01456 ) .

PAIR OF SHALLOW BOWLS . 21 cm.
Perfectly painted in underglaze-blue. Each with shallow rounded sides rising to a wide everted rim with petal-lobed edge ; the interior illustrating 2 riders on horseback, in military attire chasing each other in a combat . The exterior divided into 6 lobes,each alternativily filled in with the same warriors , and flowers . 6 -charactermarks of Kangxi : mark and period .
Period : KANGXI : 1662 - 1723 .
The scene illustrates a battle from the Yüan dynasty tale of the Romance of the Western Chambers, in which general Du routs general Sun, who was attacking the temple of Puji .

Vase with superb " BRINJAL " glaze . h 21 cm.
Pear-shaped,with narrow neck; the top formed like a garlic bulb : " suantouping " .
Very evenly applied with a shiny aubergine ( brinjal ) glaze .
Period : KANGXI : 1662 - 1723 .
Exhibited : in the well-known " chinese monchrome glazes " exhibition held in 1956 in the Cleveland Museum of Art , invent. 16299/160.1 ( labelled).
Aubergine is a descriptive name of purple enamel colour on chinese porcelain. This name was given after the eggplant : the aubergine. The basic chemical substantial for this glaze was " magnesium" ( mg0) .
This vessel of very rare model, with a superb shiny glaze .

LARGE CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON CHARGER . diam: 46 cm.
Studily potted and fluidly carved in the centre withlotus blossoms, the backside with incised floral motifs encircling the low foot ring , the underside base with an unglazed circle burnt orange in the firing. All covered in a very rich, shiny olive-green celadon glaze .
Period : very early MING : 15th Century.

Blue/white ; pear-shaped body with C- handle ; vertically-twisted body, C-handle and matching domed lid ; decorated with sprays of blossoms and fruit . 2-character mark on the base : I Yü , meaning " exquisite gem " .
