Large    KLAPMUTS - BOWL.    28 cm.

Painted in subtil silvery underglaze-blue .
According to M. Rinaldi ( p. 120), it belongs to " group III" : rim with 4 sections with diapers and 4 cartouches filled in with flowers and fruit. Cavetto and walls have ogival panels with flower sprays. In the center a pair of birds on a peony rock. The underside decoration with 2 " bird-on-branche" motifs.

Period :    WANLI   MING :    ca. 1595 - 1610 .

DISH .      22 cm.

Very finely potted, with barbed narrow  rim . Painted in the finest  cobalt- underglaze-blue of silvery tone . The central medaillon illustrating  the rare confrontation of a heron and a deer in the woods ; on the border a continuous natural scene with 6 ducks among water-plants .

Period :         WANLI    MING   :   ca. 1570 - 1600 .

Proven. :        the  F.  Desmet Collection  (  Aalst ) , n°  8.

This very rare dish of exceptional quality is in perfect condition.

DISH .      34 cm.

Painted with brilliant  FAMILLE  ROSE .    Central  scene with 2  court-ladies in conversation  in a garden.  The lady on the left is carrying a qin ( a chinese musical instrument ) . On the large rim 3 bouquets  of flowers . All in  semi- chinese taste .

Period :        YONGZHENG  :      1723 - 1735 .

Painted in FAMILLE  ROSE .  Central scene with a pair of quails under flowers .The border with a  " bianco sopra bianco " floral  design .

Period :       early    QIANLONG ,   ca.  1740 .

Perfect  condition .  A pair of quails is for the Chinese symbol of good marriage.

COMPOTIER .     22 cm.

The central medaillon in deep cobalt- underglaze blue , illustrating the very rarely seen bird  :  EAGLE , perched on a rock, under a pine-tree.
The cavetto  is moulded with 2 raws of  " ruyi-head" motifs arranged in tiers, without  painted motifs.

Period :       WANLI  MING :   ca. 1610 - 1625 .
