Very rare  CUP   &   SAUCER .

The fond-color is of very brilliant upperglaze blue tone. In the center depiction of a black-and-white dog,sitting by flowers ; surrounded by 3 leaf-shaped panels with gilt stems, showing cocks and peonies .

Period :         YONGZHENG  :      1723 - 1735 .

The special feature here is the very rare  lapis lazuli blue ground .Mentionned by David Howard in his book as " exceptional quality" .

The saucer perfect , the teabowl a hairline.
