TEAPOT .

 Finely  decorated in   very subtil and delicate  FAMILLE  ROSE .   Classcic rounded shape with large handle and spout. Around d the neck a very large and finely elaborated  row of flowers and foliage in  gilt .  On each  side a different scene :  one with 2 ladies playing " go " on a table, watched by a boy, and with 2 carlins ;   the other  with the same 2 ladies , in conversation near a basket of flowers .

Period :           YONGZHENG  :       1723 - 1735 .

MILK - JUG .

Finely and brilliantly painted in  FAMILLE  ROSE .  The scene illustrates a court-lady   accompanied by her 2 servants , all on horseback.  The lady holding a "ruyi-scepter" .

Period :        YONGZHENG  :     1723 - 1735 .

Provenances:    the Martin HURST Collection  ,  labelled n° 60 .
                          Sotheby's Amsterdam :  07/12/1999 ,  n° 752.

                          This jug was part of the " Yongzheng Porcelain " exhibition,
                          held at the Dorchester , London, in 1931 : Loan Exhibition
                          n°  384 .

Painted in very delicate  FAMILLE  ROSE  , illustrating a rich chinese interior-scene, showing a mandarin seated on a " settee " ,  charming a court-lady seated  on his knees : the scene watched by their son peeping from behind a screen. The small rim-section of conventional type in black & gold .

Period :       YONGZHENG  :   1723 - 1735 .

diam:  16 cm.   " Semi- eggshell" porcelain , very finely potted. On the outside painted with very delicate famille rose enamels. Continuous family scene involving 2 mothers with their 2 boys, playing in a garden . On the inside a large  guilded rim, and in the fond a pink-rose rosace .

Period :        YONGZHENG :    1723  -  1735 .

PLATE .       23 cm.

Delicately  painted in FAMILLE  ROSE .   Central quatrefoil  reserve with a court-lady playing a " qin" music-instrument ;  seated beside vessels and a  black chest with drawers  . Reserved on a diaper ground with white enamel scrolling foliage .  The border -  originaly done in silver, now black oxydated - with cartouches of upper-glaze blue floral design , alternated with cartouches in iron-red and gilt .

Period :          YONGZHENG   :     1723 - 1735 .

Apocryf  6- charactermark of  Chenghua .

Provenance:   bought  by the previous owner at Jacob STODEL ,
                       at the Delft Fair,  1976 ,  label  PCR / 14.

Excellent condition  ,  1 with  tiny  hairline.
